New theory Suggests Parallel Universes Are Real And They Are Interacting With Our Universe

A parallel universe is a hypothetical self-contained reality co-existing with one's own. A specific group of parallel universes is called a "multiverse", although this term can also be used to describe the possible parallel universes that constitute reality. The concept of parallel universes has been depicted frequently in science fiction, without any real evidence that they actually exist. Howard Wiseman of Griffith University in Australia led a team that believes quantum theory allows for multiple versions of our universe to exist and overlap, and even interact with one another on the quantum level  According to IFL Science . One of the earliest versions of the multiverse theory was the “many-worlds interpretation” of quantum mechanics proposed by physicist Hugh Everett in 1957. According to Everett’s “many-worlds interpretation” of quantum mechanical phenomena such as the so-called universal wave function, many and perhaps infinite worlds exist as alternat

Elephants in Africa are being born without tusks due to poaching

Ivory-seeking poachers have killed 100,000 African elephants in just three years, according to a new study that provides the first reliable continent-wide estimates of illegal kills. During 2011 alone, roughly one of every twelve African elephants was killed by a poacher.  Up to 30,000 African elephants are killed each year for their tusks; that’s one every 15 minutes, a rate that populations cannot sustain. An increasing number of African elephants are now born tuskless because poachers have consistently targeted animals with the best ivory over decades, fundamentally altering the gene pool. As Independent Reports   that almost a third of Africa’s elephants have been illegally slaughtered by poachers in the past ten years to meet demand for ivory in Asia, where there is still a booming trade in the material, particularly in China. In some areas 98 per cent of female elephants now have no tusks, researchers have said, compared to between two and six per cent born tuskless

Barack Obama Chokes Up Giving Ellen Medal Of Freedom

President Obama hosted his last Presidential Medal of Freedom Ceremony on Tuesday, honoring 21 luminaries for their contributions to the United States of America. Possibly one of the most famous TV hosts of all time, Ellen De Generes was given the medal of freedom by President Barack Obama. She received the highest civilian award for her undeniable contribution towards the gay rights movement. President Barack Obama ― who had to stop mid-address because he was “getting kind of choked up”. He added: “It’s easy to forget now, when we’ve come so far, where now marriage is equal under the law, just how much courage was required for Ellen to come out on the most public of stages almost 20 years ago. Just how important it was not just for the LGBT community, but for all us to see somebody so full of kindness and light. Somebody we liked so much, somebody who could be our neighbor or our colleague or our sister challenge our own assumptions. Remind us that we have more in

Pluto Has an Underground Ocean of Water, Scientists Says

The sea is believed to be buried 93- to 124 miles beneath Pluto's giant impact basin, known as Sputnik Planitia, which lies within the heart-shaped Tombaugh Regio. The ocean is estimated to be 62 miles deep, said planetary scientist Francis Nimmo, with the University of California, Santa Cruz. Evidence for the ocean, comes from images and analysis of data collected by NASA's New Horizons spacecraft, which flew in July 2015. "A thick, heavy ocean, the new data suggest, may have served as a 'gravitational anomaly,' or weight, which would factor heavily in Pluto and Charon's gravitational tug-of-war," according to MIT News. "Over millions of years, the planet would have spun around, aligning its subsurface ocean and the heart-shaped region above it, almost exactly opposite along the line connecting Pluto and Charon." "We think Pluto may have had its atmosphere almost as thick as the Mars atmosphere which is pretty amazing,"

This Is What Obama Said To His Daughters After Trump’s Victory

In an interview with the New Yorker, Obama revealed that he advised his daughters on how complicated the world is. He Said -   What I say to them is that people are complicated.  Societies and cultures are really complicated … This is not mathematics; this is biology and chemistry. These are living organisms, and it’s messy. And your job as a citizen and as a decent human being is to constantly affirm and lift up and fight for treating people with kindness and respect and understanding.  And you should anticipate that at any given moment, there’s going to be flare-ups of bigotry that you may have to confront, or may be inside you and you have to vanquish. And it doesn’t stop … You don’t get into a fetal position about it. You don’t start worrying about apocalypse . You say, O.K., where are the places where I can push to keep it moving forward.

Stephen Hawking says Humans have less than 1000 years on Earth before we are wiped out in a mass extinction

Theoretical scientist and astronomer Stephen Hawking says humanity won't survive another 1,000 years on Earth and the only thing that could save us from certain extinction is setting up colonies elsewhere in the Solar System. "[W ] e must ... continue to go into space for the future of humanity," Hawking said in a lecture at the University of Cambridge this week. "I don’t think we will survive another 1,000 years without escaping beyond our fragile planet." "Although the chance of a disaster to planet Earth in a given year may be quite low, it adds up over time, and becomes a near certainty in the next 1,000 or 10,000 years," Hawking said in the speech, according to the Christian Science Monitor . "By that time we should have spread out into space, and to other stars, so a disaster on Earth would not mean the end of the human race." And the pace of space exploration seems to be ramping up. NASA is busy searching for " gold
